Tip for Obama & McCain
It’s only less than 2 months left before the US Presidential Election, & I’ve came up with a tip for both candidates.
You see, both candidates had made their presence felt in some Filipino-Americans activities like a few months back. And my tip for them is closely related on how to get the votes of the majority of the Filipino-Americans who are voting for the coming election.
Just to remind you, I don’t really know what’s going on right now in the US about their campaigns. It’s been quiet lately.
My tip for Obama & McCain to get the Filipino-American vote is this, have Manny Pacquiao & Charice Pempengco in your campaign!
Yes, you’ve read it right! Why?
Filipinos, specifically, go nuts when it comes to celebrities. Pacquiao & Charice are both celebrities in their own rights. Even if Filipino-Americans are Republicans or Democrats, they will get behind the backs of those two. This is how you get the majority of their votes.
In Philippines, every time Pacquiao has a fight, the whole nation stops. Every one watches his fight. It has also been proven that crime rates decreases every time he has a fight. Even Filipino-Americans, they show a lot of support for the PacMan. In a situation were Filipino-Americans are divided into Republicans & Democrats, Pacquiao is the only one who could reunite them. Pacquiao is the Pinoy pride, as they say!
And who else could forget Charice Pempengco. The new pride of the Pinoys!
Filipinos loves singing, as everyone knows it. We are the karaoke kings & queens!
Now that Charice is getting well known in the US, Filipino-Americans again shows support on her. With the Filipinos attitude towards celebrities, you could again see the unity being formed. Especially when they talk about her home country, Philippines, where the Filipino roots is from.
Filipinos has that crazy attitude every time Filipinos makes an impact on the international scene. Whether it’s in sports, singing, acting, etc., Filipinos shows 100% support to their fellow countrymen.
There you have it, that’s my biggest tip for their presidential campaign.
Both candidates should actually take the opportunity while the two are still in the US. Pacquiao will surely be in the US for a long time because he has to train for his next fight against De La Hoya. While Charice won’t be there for long, but they could always ask her to attend if they want her.
To get the Filipino-American votes, get Pacquiao & Charice Pempengco!
